"I am off tomorrow, Sunday February 24, to a Deployment Ceremony for 130 California National Guardsmen that are leaving for Afghanistan. We, the Modesto/Central Valley Blue Star Mothers & Fathers, have over 180 hand held flags to pass out to these soldiers and their families. My oldest boy, my soldier and my hero served in Iraq for 14 months. He has shown me how to be a warrior, and to never, never give up.
