Grand Junction, Colo.
Mothers from across the country whose sons and daughters are serving in the armed services have made their way to Grand Junction. The Blue Star Mothers of America is holding its national convention at the DoubleTree Hotel. The convention allows the 68-year-old nonprofit organization to take care of formal business, including electing new officers and making amendments in their charter.
But more importantly, it allows mothers who understand each other’s struggles to come together.
