“While there is not enough we can do to show our appreciation to the men
and women still serving our country overseas, the ‘Pizza 4 Patriots’
program is just one more way for UNO to show its ongoing commitment to
our military,” said UNO assistant general manager Louis Vaccarelli. “I
am proud to work for a company that recognizes the sacrifice made by our
soldiers, and continues to be a part of this thoughtful program.”
Helping to further the efforts locally have been the Blue Star Mothers,
a national not-for-profit organization made up of moms of sons and
daughters who have, or are still, serving overseas. Susan Lewis,
president of the Rochester chapter, has been working to help get the
word out using social media and promoting it on the group’s website.
