Blue Star Mothers going the Extra Mile
Combing through loads of supplies, a group of ladies are on a mission. Armed with candy bars, razors and shampoo they’re loading up to ship out.
They keep it light-hearted, but this is serious business. They don’t want anyone in our military to forget someone is thinking about them.
“With the 45th coming home, we thought we’d get a break,” said Blue Star mom Kimberly Graham.

Troops getting Snacks from Home
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The troops may have exited Iraq, but thousands of them remain in Afghanistan and other locations across the world.
Those fighting on behalf of the United States will tell you they love getting care packages from home, and you can help support our servicemen and women with some tasty snacks from home.
7-Eleven and Frito Lay have partnered with Blue Star Mothers for the "Seeds For The Troops" drive and are asking for your donations.

Blue Star Mothers seek items for troops
As
a member of the Blue Star Mothers of America, we become accustomed to
requests for specific items from deployed troops. We, the Yavapai County
Blue Star Mothers, have received just such a request from one of our
own sons.
Recently deployed to Afghanistan, this young soldier's unit is working alongside the Afghan troops, training them to fight terrorists. He recently asked his grandmother to send him thermal underwear. When asked what happened to his, the reply was what has become known to us Blue Star Mothers as "typical" of our troops - "The Afghan troops have none."
