The goods were given to the Blue Star Mothers in Oxford, a group his wife Vicki joined, to send packages to the troops.
“We were trying to figure out ways to help troops because we have two children in the military, and we’ve always been supportive of the military,” said Sparks, who helped coordinate the drive at the township fire headquarters that concluded near the end of August." more...
