Blue Star Mother to present banner

Saipan Tribune: " By Marconi Calindas Reporter
A civic group in Florida will be extending its condolences to the grieving family of the late U.S. Navy sailor Anamarie San Nicolas Camacho, with the presentation of a banner honoring the deceased sailor. Blue Star Mother's of America Florida chapter will be sending the Gold Star Banner to the CNMI through the assistance of the Military Veterans Affairs Office. Janice Zabel, the Blue to Gold Liaison for the State of Florida, told Saipan Tribune that the group first communicated with Washington Rep. Pete A. Tenorio's office for the presentation. It was through Tenorio's office that she was able to get hold of MVAO executive director Ruth Coleman. Coleman confirmed being in touch with Zabel's group. However, the banner wouldn't be able to make it in time for the internment. Coleman said she would be arranging a separate date to present the banner on behalf of the Blue Star Mother’s of America. “The Gold Star Banner has to be made, these are done by Service Flags,” said Zabel, adding that the flag has been ready since yesterday.
