Bosque Farms As a member of the Valencia County chapter of the Blue Star Mothers, Ruth Vollmer has seen many adults struggle to deal with a loved one in the military being shipped overseas.
But seeing elementary school-aged children dealing with the same thing at Bosque Farms Elementary, she knew she had to do something.
So Vollmer, the nurse at the school, began the Blue Star Kids in September of 2007."
