Gold Star dedication a moving tribute

It was overcast all day Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. If one felt sulky by the time he or she went to bed that night, who could blame them.
The day before was a different story. The air was brisk, the sky was blue, and the sun shone brightly -- ideal conditions for an outdoor activity. It was on that day the Contra Costa Blue Star Moms chose to hold their Gold Star Memorial Dedication Ceremony at the senior center in Concord.
