"On Saturday March 15th, 500 girls met at Whispering Pines Camp outside of Independence, LA. One of their requirements to earn their “Troops Helping Troops” badge this day, was to have them donate items for care packages, bring a quarter for shipping and help pack them up and make cards to go in them. We are happy to say, that with the help of Tammy Ribbey (a Girl Scout volunteer), Janet Scaruffi (a Blue Star Mom) and Janet’s daughter Patti, we packed 39 care packages and collected enough funds to cover the shipping! A group effort made by 500 little Angels and their troop leaders!
