"At their regular meeting on Thursday, the Blue Star Mothers of America received a donation from the Charioteers Auto Club of Montgomery County.
Bill Milam, a member of the Charioteers Auto Club, presented a check for $300 to Gayle Sosbe, president of the local chapter of the Blue Star Mothers.
The money represented the proceeds from the car club event at the Old Fashioned Days in Darlington. The Charioteers had a car show, garage sale and bake sale at that event on Sept. 12.
"It is my humble privilege to present this check to the Blue Star Mothers to go toward their work in supporting our men and women serving in the military to protect our nation," Bill Milam said."We appreciate everything the Charioteers Auto Club has done to help the Blue Star Mothers," Gayle Sosbe said. "We also appreciate all those who participated with the Charioteers event to raise this money." "
