Blue Star Mothers Open Storefront Location

KETTERING, Ohio -- The local Blue Star Mothers of America Chapter has opened a storefront location in the Town and Country shopping center.
The 170 member chapter is asking the community to support the troops by donating items for care packages to send overseas.
The location was opened to help the public do that, thanks to an anonymous gift that paid the rent for the spot for one year.
Here is a list of some of the needed items: baby wipes, shampoo, soap, lotion, foot care products, sun block, eye drops, cotton swabs, baby powder, lip balm, hand sanitizer, deoderants, dental products, stationery, envelopes and toilet paper.
Some of the most popular requested items are: beef jerky, powerbars, peanuts, tuna fish, hard candy, small packages of cookies, lifesavers, gum, suckers, kool-aid drink mixes and tictacs.
